Maxim magazine is the latest in men's entertainment that is branching into betting.  This time around, Maxim is taking an interest in the booming online casino gambling industry, and has already signed a deal with The Money Gaming Corporation (TMGC) to provide Maxim's publisher, Dennis Publishing a custom-branded online betting site.

In order to get around potential legal setbacks, Dennis Publishing has opted to strictly offer online skill games, rather than the traditional online slot machines, strategy games and card games.  Instead of games like roulette, poker and blackjack, the new Maxim site will offer online pool, backgammon and solitaire, in addition to a horde of other non-casino related betting games.

TMCG is very enthused about partnering with Dennis Publishing and getting as much coverage and exposure they already have up to this point.  A company spokesperson said that as Maxim readers themselves, they know how frustrating it can be playing traditional online casino games, while never seeming to get a break.  What makes the online skill games appealing is that they offer a 50:50 chance of winning, which is quite fair for games that do not require much betting strategy.
